Three life lessons:

1. Always triple-check that you have your cell phone before leaving the house at 5am.

UPDATED (5pm): strike lesson #1 (although it is important). the REAL life lesson from today is, ALWAYS check that you have your phone when you leave the airport from dropping people off in case one of your passengers is an unintentional kleptomaniac. ;)

2. Don't cut corners. Ever. In life and while driving.

3. All cars have spare tires. Finding the tire is what might be difficult.

Today is a doubly special day.

Today, my two lives are merged into one celebration.

Today, two dozen years ago, my earthly family was celebrating my physical birth into life.

Today, two thousand years ago, my heavenly family was celebrating my Savior's resurrection from death to life.

Today, I celebrate life. Not just one life, but two: my physical life (which will end and is ending) and my spiritual life (which will never end and is never ending).

Do you think I could keep going with this whole 'name my posts after things on my keyboard' theme?

What would be in a post entitled "Enter"?

Or "Esc"?

Or "Page up"?

And I'm not even sure how I'd write a post based on the Windows Icon...

Unless I was writing to tell you that I upgraded to a Mac!

That would be an awesome post to write.

Don't get your hopes up, though. There are plenty of keyboard options between us and that Windows Icon post. Guess we'll just have to keep trucking with posts about "[" and "Tab" and "Home."

To end with a question: Does anyone else think that "Num Lk" sounds a little bit like "Nunchuck"?

Maybe it's just my allergy-addled brain...

Today is a "B" day.

Bushed. (how I feel)

Backwards. (an attempt to describe the state of my office)

Brittany. (one of my dearest friends)

Buster. (what i would name my dog if i had one)

Brisco! (a dog I know)

Big. (the amount of work I have to do)

Better. (my attitude about life)

Buckets. (how much rain we have today. again. after a previous bucketloadfull on saturday. sigh. rain. rain. rain.)
